Wijn & Words - an evening with two local authors
Tuesday, November 18th
4:00-6:00 & 6:30-8:00 pm
We are excited to partner with Promotions by Design to host local authors Marijka Michmershuizen and Carol Van Klompenburg for an intimate evening of readings, stories, and conversation.
Because their last event filled the room (and the hallway!), we’re offering two seatings — 4–6 p.m. and 6:30–8:30 p.m. Each includes readings, Q&A, and time to chat with friends over a glass of wine.
Tickets are $15 and the ticket price includes a glass of wine and your choice of one of the authors’ books. Tickets are available beginning on Saturday, October 25th during business hours at The Wijn House (615 Franklin St.) or Promotions by Design (604 Franklin St.).
Space is limited, so we encourage you to get your tickets soon — We can’t wait to share this cozy, heartfelt night with you — good wine, good words, and great company!

Holiday Wine Glass Painting with Miss Mary!
Join Mary Robertson from Pella Community Services for a festive and fun wijn glass painting workshop at The Wijn House!
She’ll guide you step-by-step in creating your own hand-painted wijn glass — perfect for the holidays (or gifting to your favorite wine lover ).
Cost: $35 per person — includes all supplies, instruction, and guidance from Miss Mary.
Payment is due at the time of registration; call (641-619-5151) or stop in at The Wijn House to hold your spot!

Join the Pella downtown retail locations for Pink Friday - a day created to encourage communities to buy local. The Wijn House will have Designer Cakes by Ashley visiting between 12:00-3:00 to sell her creations.

Our very first “Wijn-mosa & Words” get-together is happening Saturday, November 22nd from 10–11 AM at The Wijn House!
We’ll be chatting about The Red Tent by Anita Diamant — but don’t worry, even if you haven’t finished (or… started ) the book, you’re absolutely welcome to join the fun.
