Pella’s Annual Wine Walk is moving and expanding into a full two-day celebration in June! The Pella Downtown Historical Retailers (PHDR) in conjunction with Thistles Flower Market and The Wijn House is blending art and wine in a whole new way!
This year, as part of Pella’s Annual Wine & Art Walk, The Wijn House is adding a creative twist to this beloved tradition—and inviting you to be part of it. The Wijn House is now accepting submissions for original artwork to be featured as wine bottle labels!
This is your chance to see your artwork showcased during the Wine & Art Walk, voted on by attendees, and—if selected—featured on our Pella Red and Pella White wines in 2027. So whether you paint, photograph, or create something beautifully unique…we invite you to raise a glass and get creative.

How It Works
- Create a label for our Pella Red wine or our Pella White wine - you may submit up to two entries (1 for Pella Red and 1 for Pella White)
- Artwork must be received by 8:00 pm CST on Saturday, June 20th
- Submitted artwork will be displayed during the Wine & Art Walk June 26th and June 27th
- Event attendees will vote for their favorite label designs
- Winners will be notified via email by Thursday, July 2nd and winning labels will be announced publicly on July 3rd
- Winning designs will be featured on Pella Red and Pella White wines in 2027
To keep the collection cohesive and label-ready, please follow these guidelines:
- Artwork must be original and created by the submitting artist
- No AI-generated images
- Accepted mediums include:
- Painting
- Drawing / Sketches
- Photography
- Mixed Media
- Each artist may submit up to two (2) entries total:
- One (1) design for Pella Red
- One (1) design for Pella White
- Artwork must clearly include the wording:
- “Pella Red” or “Pella White”
- Artwork must be sized to fit a standard wine label:
- 3.5 inches wide by 4 inches tall (3.5” x 4”) or
- 4 inches wide by 4 inches tall (4” x 4”)
Please include the following with your submission:
- Full Name
- Phone Number
- Email Address
By submitting your artwork, you agree to the following:
- Submitted artwork becomes the property of The Wijn House upon entry
- You grant permission for your artwork to be used on wine labels for 2027
- You allow The Wijn House and/or partnering winery to adjust or resize artwork as needed to fit label specifications
- You grant permission for your artwork (and any related images or video) to be used in marketing, promotions, and advertising
